Über den Autor David Servan-Schreiber

David Servan-Schreiber, geboren 1961 bei Paris, studierte Medizin und Psychiatrie und promovierte in den USA bei Nobelpreisträger Herbert Simon in neurokognitiven Wissenschaften, bevor er sich wieder der psychiatrischen Praxis zuwandte. In Pittsburgh hat er das renommierte UPMC Center for Integrative Medicine mitbegründet. Der Mediziner war in den USA zudem Gründungsmitglied von »Ärzte ohne Grenzen«. Seine Bücher »Die neue Medizin der Emotionen« und »Das Antikrebs-Buch« sind internationale Bestseller. Im Juli 2011 erlag David Servan-Schreiber einem Hirntumor.Inge Leipold (1946-2010) arbeitete als Lektorin, bevor sie sich 1982 als Übersetzerin aus dem Englischen und Französischen selbstständig machte. 1999 war sie Translator in Residence an der University of Wales in Swansea, 2005 Übersetzerin in Residence beim Europäischen Übersetzer-Kollegium in Straelen. Zu den von ihr übertragenen Autorinnen und Autoren gehören Russell Banks, Claire Keegan, Gemma O'Connor und Abdulrazak Gurnah.
