Über den Autor Philip Pullman

Philip Pullman wurde 1946 in Norwich, England, geboren. Er wuchs in Zimbabwe und Wales auf. Viele Jahre arbeitete er als Lehrer, bevor er sich ganz auf das Schreiben konzentrierte. Mit der »His Dark Materials«-Trilogie wurde er weltweit bekannt. Sie wurde in über 40 Sprachen übersetzt und Pullman erhielt zahlreiche Preise, darunter den Astrid-Lindgren-Gedächtnis-Preis für sein Gesamtwerk. Er lebt in Oxford. Wolfram Ströle, Jahrgang 1957, studierte Anglistik und Geschichte in Erlangen, Aberdeen und Tübingen. Seit Mitte der Achtzigerjahre hat er unter vielen anderen Georgina Byng, John Carol, Anthony Horowitz, Catherine Jinks, Stephenie Meyer, Philip Pullman, Arundhati Roy und Patrick Rothfuss übersetzt.
