Handbook of American Poetry

This handbook aims at giving scholars an overview of the state of research and students a sense of how American poetry - ranging from its first forms evolving from the 17-century settler colonies to its current digital modes - has addressed issues and experiences central to human consciousness as much as to political lives over four centuries of cultural practice.
