Eve has always listened wide-eyed to her sister Chloe's tales of space adventures, all sparked by a wish on the mysterious Ruby Stone. Now, eager to find out if the stories are true, Eve makes a wish of her own. Before long, she finds herself aboard the pirate ship Velocity, sailing across the open sea under the command of the legendary Captain Cannonball. But is the pirate life everything she hoped for? Trouble soon arrives in the form of Cannonball's old shipmate, the notorious Skinny Pete. With danger closing in, Eve must face the consequences of her wish. Was it worth wishing on the Ruby Stone?
