It was time. I ran at him. I flew into the air and landed on his back. The growl that tore through him vibrated over my body.

His body was so warm and inviting, my mate was so close to me. His brown and red streaked fur was soft and fluffy. I felt myself wanting to run my hands through it and get as close as possible.

I had to push my desires aside. I lent my body flush to his back secretly relishing the closeness of our bodies. I whispered in his ear, 'shift or your friends die.'

His huge head snapped to his friends, Weston and Cathy each had a blade to their human throats. They had made them shift too.
