Über den Autor Michael Bond

Michael Bond (1926-2017) begann 1946 als Schriftsteller zu arbeiten. 1958 veröffentlichte er die ersten Geschichten über den Bären Paddington, nachdem er einen Teddybären am Bahnhof Paddington gefunden hatte. Michael Bond wurde 1997 für seine Verdienste um das Kinderbuch mit dem »Order of the British Empire« ausgezeichnet.R. W. Alley hat seit 1990 zahlreiche Buchausgaben über den Bären Paddington illustriert. Zusammen mit seiner Frau und ihren zwei Kindern lebt er in Rhode Island, USA.
