Über den Autor Denise Mina

Denise Mina erhielt für ihre Romane zahllose Preise, was der Schottin den ironischen Ehrentitel »Queen of Tartan Noir« eintrug. Als junge Frau jobbte sie in Bars, einer Fleischfabrik, als Köchin und Krankenpflegehelferin, studierte dann Jura an der Uni Glasgow und begann Kriminalromane zu schreiben - Mehrteiler, Serien und Solitäre. Außerdem verfasst sie Shortstorys, Hör- und Bühnenstücke, Graphic Novels, TV- und Radiosendungen. »Die große Hitze« ist ihr vom Raymond Chandler Estate autorisierter Philip-Marlowe-Roman.
