Über den Autor Richard Montanari

Richard Montanari wurde in Cleveland, Ohio, als Sohn einer amerikanischen Familie italienischer Herkunft geboren. Nach dem Studium lebte er eine Zeitlang in Europa und ließ sich schließlich in London nieder, wo er sich unter anderem als Verkäufer in einem Kleiderladen und Handelsvertreter für Enzyklopädien durchschlug. Nach seiner Rückkehr in die USA arbeitete er ein paar Jahre bei der väterlichen Baufirma, bevor er beschloss, dass das Schreiben doch ein einfacherer Weg sei, sich seinen Lebensunterhalt zu verdienen. Als freiberuflicher Autor schrieb er für über 200 Publikationen in The Chicago Tribune, The Detroit Free Press, The Seattle Times und vielen anderen. 1996 erschien sein erster Roman. Mit CRUZIFIX, dem ersten Band um das Ermittlerduo Kevin Byrne und Jessica Balzano aus Philadelphia, gelang ihm auch in Deutschland der Durchbruch als Bestsellerautor.
