Über den Autor Seumas O'Kelly

Seumas O'Kelly, zwischen 1875 und 1881 in Loughrea im County Galway, Irland, geboren, 1918 in Dublin gestorben, war ein irischer Journalist und Schriftsteller. Er arbeitete für verschiedene Zeitungen, ehe er 1918 die Leitung von The Nationality, einer Zeitschrift der Sinn Féin, übernahm. Im November stürmten britische Soldaten und Loyalisten die Redaktion, O'Kelly erlitt einen Zusammenbruch und starb an einer Hirnblutung. Seine Kurzgeschichte 'The Weaver's Grave' gilt als ein Meisterwerk des Genres.
