The research proposes a social support program for the prevention of psychosocial vulnerability in caregivers of older adults with dementia residing in Santa Clara. The subjective configuration of the perception of social support for the prevention of psychosocial vulnerability in caregivers of older adults with dementia residing in Santa Clara, was interpretatively constructed in a comprehensive theoretical model through the cores of meaning, significance of the disease, satisfactions, dissatisfactions and threats, and assessment of social support received, with their respective indicators of subjective content. The proposed social support program integrates the projects mental health services, social support to the family and psychosocial support to the basic health team for the management of the caregiver of older adults with dementia in the community.
