This book highlights recent advancements in renewable energy integration and more specifically assessing and managing the involved risks and uncertainties. Electrical networks all around the world are experiencing the integration of various types of energy resources including energy storage systems and these systems are forming the future of power generation and delivery systems. There has been significant interest in this area over the past decade. Proper designing, planning and operating such systems is crucial and the key area of interest for researchers and utilities. This book is focused on risk assessment and management in such systems. The key emphasis of this book is on the various modelling, optimization and application of various risk assessment and management techniques in design, planning and operation of electrical networks with high penetration of renewable energy resources. This book introduces existing and new modelling approaches, optimization, control and management methods, as well as their various assessment, estimation or mitigation approaches. This book introduces and covers these topics in a comprehensive and coherent way to professionals and researchers around the world.
