This book collects the scientific proceedings presented during the "2022 The 2nd International Civil Engineering and Architecture Conference" held in Singapore in March 2022 with the aim of showing the latest advancements in theoretical and applied research in the architecture, engineering, and construction sector (AEC). The book is organized into 4 main parts, namely (1) Sustainable Urban Planning and Architecture; (2) Architectural and Environmental Design; (3) Built Environment Materials and Construction Technology; and (4) Civil Engineering and Construction Management. The goal of the book is to provide readers with an overview of the ongoing transformation of the AEC industry presenting a thorough investigation of the emerging trends in the fields of green building design, construction, and operation.

Über den Autor Marco (Hrsg.) Casini

Prof. Marco Casini is a leading academic in the green and smart building sector. He is an environmental engineer with a Ph.D. in environmental engineering and is an associate professor in Technology of Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome where, since 2002, he has been teaching in several masters', Ph.D., and graduate schools on subjects pertaining to energy and environmental sustainability for buildings. Since 2014, he is also a professor at the Italian National School of Administration (SNA)-Presidency of the Council of Ministers. He is member of the Scientific Committee of the Master's degrees in Building Information Modeling, "Digital Twin and Artificial Intelligence. Digital technologies and processes in the built environment" and in Management of Heritage Real Estate, member of the Teaching Council of the PhD in Planning, Design, and Technology of Architecture, and member of the Technical-Scientific Committee on Sustainability of Sapienza University of Rome.
