Über den Autor Suwarno (Hrsg.) Suwarno

Suwarno is currently professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia. His primary areas of research interest include materials for energy, power, and petrochemical applications. He obtained a bachelor's degree from ITS, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from Technical University Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH), Germany, and Aalborg University Denmark (2009), and a Ph.D. from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway (2012). Before returning to Indonesia, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Debye Institute for Nanomaterials at Utrecht University in the Netherlands (2012-2015). He was involved in the H2020 European Commission project (RISE) from 2018 to 2023 to develop hydrogen storage materials. He has edited several conference proceedings and books since 2018 published by AIP and Trans Tech Publications. He regularly conducts reviews for many international and high-impact journals. Dr. Aziz is currently an associate professor at the Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan. He received a B. Eng., M. Eng., and D. Eng. degrees from Kyushu University, Japan, in 2004, 2006, and 2008, respectively, in the field of mechanical engineering. He is the lab head of the Energy and Process Integration laboratory at the University of Tokyo. His general research areas are advanced energy conversion systems. His research and lab (Energy and Process Integration Laboratory) focus on research topics related to hydrogen production, storage/transportation, and utilization, power generation, renewable energy utilization, process modeling, redox flow battery, and advanced utilization of electric vehicles. Mohan Lal Kolhe is a full professor in smart grid and renewable energy at the Faculty of Engineering and Science of the University of Agder (Norway). He is a leading renewable energy technologist with three decades of academic experience at the international level and previously held academic positions at the world's prestigious universities, e.g., University College London (UK / Australia), University of Dundee (UK); University of Jyvaskyla (Finland); Hydrogen Research Institute, QC (Canada); etc. In addition, he was a member of the Government of South Australia's first Renewable Energy Board (2009-2011) and worked on developing renewable energy policies. His research works in energy systems have been recognized within the top 2% of scientists globally by Stanford University's 2020 and 2021 matrices. He is an internationally recognized pioneer in his field, whose top 10 published works have an average of over 175 citations each. Professor Tri Yogi Yuwono is currently at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology-Indonesia, the university where he obtained his bachelor's degree and was the president (2011-2015). He obtained his master's (DEA) and Ph.D. degrees in 1990 and 1993, respectively, from the Institute National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG), France. He has published more than 55 international papers. He is a reviewer in several respected international journals. His main research interests are fluid flow, wind turbines, and hydrokinetic turbines.
