Leadership in Sustainability

Jayne Bryant is the Director of Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute and has years of experience facilitating multi-stakeholder engagement processes for sustainability outcomes. Originally a singer-songwriter, Jayne focuses her creative energies on building leadership capacity and organisational culture change for sustainability.Renée Newman is a senior lecturer at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts at Edith Cowan University and current Associate Dean (Research). She is performance researcher interested in intersections in art and 'care' - for self, society, ecology and beyond.Aimee Smith has worked at the intersection of climate change, sustainability, creativity and community for 20 years - across government, business, not-for-profits and education. She currently leads a range of sustainability and climate change education programs at Curtin University including the Leadership in Sustainability Masters unit. She is also an award-winning choreographer and dance artist.Mike Mouritz is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute, volunteers and does occasional collaborative leadership team building assignments. He has been an executive and sustainability practitioner for over 30 years, holding leadership roles in local and state government, consulting, and leading research teams.Peter Newman is Professor of Sustainability at Curtin University in Perth, Australia, and was a Coordinating Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change over 15 years. He has served in local, state and federal governments and has been active in many campaigns including saving the Fremantle Railway for which he was awarded the Order of Australia.
