Founding Editor of Knotting Matters and co-founder of the International Guild of Knot Tyers. Sea scout and sea cadet, Geoffrey Budworth turned on to knotting when he saw his first ornamental bell-rope. Used ropework during a decade afloat on the Thames tideway, policing the Pool of London (and beneath it as an operational frogman). He has written numerous knot books and articles, and pioneered the forensic investigation of knots and ligatures in the UK.
