Über den Autor Antonio Gamoneda

Antonio Gamoneda (Oviedo, España, 1931) reside en León desde 1934. En 1936, con las escuelas cerradas por la guerra civil y la represión, aprendió a leer (y descubrió la poesía) en Otra más alta vida, libro publicado en 1919 por su padre (poeta modernista de su mismo nombre, fallecido en 1932). Desde 1949 hasta la llamada Transición (1976) fue parte (afortunada, suele decir) en la lucha laboral y en la resistencia antifranquista. Es autor de 48 libros poéticos (unitarios y antologías), traducidos, en su parte principal, a 18 lenguas, y de una decena de ensayo y narrativa. Ha recibido importantes reconocimientos como el Premio Nacional de Poesía. Posteriormente, en 2006, Prix Européen de Littérature, Premio Reina Sofía y Premio Cervantes.
