Robert Paterson is an Associate Professor of Community and Regional Planning at the University of Texas at Austin, holding MS and PhD degrees from Florida Atlantic University and UNC Chapel Hill. He specializes in land use and environmental planning, previously serving as Associate Dean and Department Chair. Dr. Paterson co-founded the School of Architecture's Center for Sustainable Development and teaches graduate courses in climate resilience, environmental assessment, and brownfield redevelopment. His significant projects include co-founding the Central Texas Sustainability Indicators Project and leading HUD grants for scenario planning software development. Current research focuses on urban resilience models, sustainable climate development frameworks, and disaster-resilient community planning.Susan T. Litherland is Principal Director and founding member of SQ Environmental, LLC, an Austin-based environmental engineering and consulting firm. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas in 1980. With decades of experience as an environmental consultant, she serves commercial, public, and regulatory clients through environmental due diligence, investigations under cleanup programs including RCRA and CERCLA, and remedial action design and implementation. Litherland has participated in multiple national and state regulatory work groups to improve environmental program efficiency. Her expertise includes chemical fate and transport in environmental systems and vapor intrusion mitigation strategies.Quintin McNulty is Principal Director and founding member of SQ Environmental, LLC, an Austin-based environmental engineering and consulting firm. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and multiple states. With over 30 years of experience, McNulty has led numerous projects in industrial and hazardous waste management, environmental due diligence, site assessments, and property redevelopment. His expertise focuses on designing and implementing remediation and corrective action strategies for sites impacted by contaminated soil, soil vapor, and groundwater contamination.Benjamin Alter is a Principal and Senior Vice President with GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. in Fairfield, New Jersey, with over 35 years of environmental consulting experience. Previously a Gulf Coast oil industry geophysicist, he holds degrees from SUNY/Albany (geology/mathematics), Cornell University (geophysics), and Columbia University (MBA). Alter has designed and managed multiple remedial investigations and conducted hundreds of site assessments nationwide. He provides litigation services for hazardous waste cases and helped develop New Jersey's Licensed Site Remediation Professional program. He serves on LSRP Association and Foundation boards, founded scholarship programs for aspiring environmental consultants, and taught at Hunter College from 2000-2009.
