What if the food you eat every day is either helping your body heal or quietly contributing to the symptoms holding you back?

In Eat to Heal, Dr. Joseph Jacobs, DPT, ACN, introduces the ASTR Diet, a practical and consumer-friendly approach to health built on four core principles: anti-inflammatory, sustainable, toxin-free, and restorative. This book is designed for readers who want a natural way to improve wellness, reduce inflammation, increase energy, and support the body's ability to heal.

Written in a clear and approachable style, Eat to Heal explains how nutrition and lifestyle choices can influence inflammation, fatigue, headaches, chronic pain, digestive issues, poor energy, and overall well-being. Dr. Jacobs helps readers understand how poor diet, unhealthy eating habits, processed foods, toxic exposures, and nutritional imbalances may contribute to chronic symptoms.

This book is more than a diet guide. It is a roadmap for natural healing, root-cause wellness, and long-term health improvement.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, Eat to Heal encourages readers to look deeper at the everyday habits that shape health over time. It offers a practical framework for making cleaner food choices, reducing dietary inflammation, lowering toxic burden, improving nutrition, and building sustainable habits that support healing from the inside out.

Dr. Jacobs brings both professional expertise and personal experience to this work. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Advanced Clinical Nutritionist, functional medicine practitioner, inventor, and cancer survivor, he understands firsthand the challenges of living with pain, migraines, fatigue, inflammation, and other chronic health struggles.

Inside this book, readers will explore principles related to healthy eating, anti-inflammatory nutrition, toxin-free living, sustainable wellness, and restorative health practices. They will learn how food can affect inflammation, why cleaner ingredients matter, and why long-term healing often requires addressing root causes rather than chasing temporary relief.

Eat to Heal offers a practical starting point for anyone seeking better health through nutrition, inflammation reduction, and natural lifestyle change.

Whether you are struggling with chronic pain, migraines, fatigue, low energy, inflammation, or poor eating habits, this book provides a clear and encouraging guide. It is ideal for readers interested in natural healing, nutrition, wellness, healthy lifestyle change, root-cause health, anti-inflammatory eating, toxin-free living, and long-term wellness.

If you are ready to use food as a foundation for healing, improve your health naturally, and take meaningful steps toward lasting wellness, Eat to Heal will help you begin.

Über den Autor Joseph Jacobs

Joseph Jacobs (1854-1916) was an Australian-born writer who is best remembered for his collections of folklore. Jacobs spent much of his life studying literature, and he was an advocate against antisemitism. Inspired by Charles Perrault, the Grimm brothers, and the romantic nationalism movement, he collected English fairy tales so that English children could read stories from their own heritage. Additionally, he published collections of Celtic and Indian tales.
