Über den Autor Harry G. Frankfurt

Harry G. Frankfurt, geboren 1929, war emeritierter Professor für Philosophie der Princeton University. Er war Träger vieler Auszeichnungen und Mitglied der American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Seine Bücher sind in zahlreichen Ländern erschienen. Er starb am 16. Juli 2023 im Alter von 94 Jahren in Kalifornien. Michael Bischoff, geboren 1949, studierte Mathematik und Soziologie und war Wissenschaftslektor im Suhrkamp Verlag. Seit 1977 übersetzt er Literatur aus dem Französischen und Englischen, u.a. von Émile Durkheim, Michel Foucault, Isaiah Berlin und Richard Sennett.
