Über den Autor Amélie Wen Zhao

Amélie Wen Zhao wurde in Paris geboren und wuchs in Peking in einer internationalen Gemeinschaft auf. Ihre multikulturelle Erziehung hat ihr eine tiefe Liebe zu globalen Angelegenheiten und interkulturellen Perspektiven eingepflanzt. Diese Leidenschaft möchte sie in ihre Geschichten einfließen lassen, und sie entwirft Charaktere aus Königreichen, die in verschiedenen Ecken der Welt liegen. Sie besuchte die Universität in New York City, wo sie heute lebt. Amélie ist die Autorin von Song of Silver - Das verbotene Siegel und Dark Star Burning - Das letzte Kaiserreich. Alexandra Ernst studierte Literaturwissenschaft an der Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz und war als Presse- und Werbeleiterin in einem Verlag tätig.Seit 2000 arbeitet sie als Übersetzerin von Belletristik, historischen Romanen, Fantasy und Jugendliteratur. Hierfür wurde sie u. a. mehrfach für den Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis nominiert und auch mit ihm ausgezeichnet.Neben ihren Übersetzungen veröffentlicht sie auch Beiträge als Journalistin und Literaturkritikerin.Alexandra Ernst lebt mit ihrem Mann und ihrer Tochter im Hessischen Ried.
