IT BEGINS WITH BLOOD AND FLAMES...

A young boy suddenly goes mad and bashes in his parents' heads with a cricket bat...

A lovely young teacher is brutally assaulted by her honors class...

A tiny infant is thrown from the top of a doubledecker bus to smash on the pavement below...

An elderly man is burned to death by a gang of rampaging teenagers...

And as child after child is sucked into the ever-spreading whirlpool of violence, school security chief Max Donnelly works frantically to discover what is turning six hundred thousand innocent youngsters into deadly machines of destruction?racing against time to prevent their dreadful power from being unleashed against a helpless city.

(originally published as written by A. G. Scott)
