An Account of Some Strange Disturbances in Aungier Street (eBook)

Two medical students take a bargain-priced house on a quiet Dublin street and quickly learn why the rent was so low. Footsteps with no feet. A presence that gets closer every night. And a history to the house that nobody in the neighborhood wants to discuss above a whisper.Sheridan Le Fanu - the master who would go on to write Carmilla - builds dread the old way: slowly, quietly, and through details too specific to be comfortable. A short, sharp haunted-house classic for readers who like their ghost stories told with a perfectly straight face.
