Über den Autor Bill Buford

Bill Buford, 1954 in Lousiana geboren, studierte in Berkeley und Cambridge, war Gründungsredakteur und sechzehn Jahre lang Herausgeber des Literaturmagazins "Granta" und später Verleger bei Granta Books. Von 1995 bis 2002 arbeitete er als Literaturredakteur für den "New Yorker", für den er auch heute noch tätig ist. Bei Hanser erschienen der Tatsachenbericht Geil auf Gewalt. Unter Hooligans (1992) sowie Hitze. Abenteuer eines Amateurs als Küchensklave, Sous-Chef, Pastamacher und Metzgerlehrling (2010). Buford lebt in New York.
